Author Mel frank says there’s a way to disinfect our sponges. The main Idea of this article is to inform the general public that there is a way to keep the bacteria low on our sponges. For example in the article it said (“To kill the bacteria and make your sponges OK for use, you need to heat the sponges”).So by heating up the sponges most of the bacteria will go away.
The author’s viewpoint was clearly stated in this article as well, (“The fastest and easiest way to do this is to simply toss the sponges into the microwave”) I think this source is bias. I think so because in the article the author said that the fastest and easiest way to kill bacteria from a sponge is to just toss it in the microwave, it is true that the sponge would be disinfected, but there are other faster and easier ways to disinfect a sponge. I also consider this source reliable because this source is copyrighted from 1999 to 2012 so that means this source is up to date. Also I think this source has steps on how you would microwave your sponge, like (“step 1 Rinse the sponge with cold water, which will prevent the sponge from burning”.) the steps make sense too, like wetting your sponge so it wont burn, And this source has a difficulty setting and this one is set to easy, And this is easy. So I do consider this source reliable.
